Season 5 of Black Ops 6 introduces a plethora of exciting new content and updates across all gameplay modes. Multiplayer enthusiasts can look forward to a fresh selection of maps, including Exchange and W.M.D., along with new game modes and events that will unfold throughout the season. However, the highlight of this update lies within Black Ops 6 Zombies’ Reckoning.
Reckoning has officially launched in Black Ops 6 Zombies after being hinted at in Grief during Season 4. This map acts as the grand finale for the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline, leading players through an extensive main Easter Egg quest. For those interested in exploring, there are numerous side Easter Eggs to discover, one of which involves gaining Aetherella as a companion. Here’s how to make Aetherella your ally in Reckoning.
Step #1: Activate Pack-a-Punch, Acquire the Gorgofex, & Shoot Aetherella
Before diving into the Easter Egg quest, players must first activate Pack-a-Punch and obtain the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon. There are two possible ways to acquire the Gorgofex. The first involves obtaining it from the Mystery Box, which depends on luck; however, using the Wonderbar! GobbleGum can enhance your chances. After activating Pack-a-Punch and obtaining the Gorgofex, proceed to T1 Project Janus Reception (the spawn area) and make your way to the zombie spawn located just to the left of the Rampage Inducer. Apply any spray on the bathroom stall door on the left to open it and unveil an Aetherella figurine. Charge a shot with the Gorgofex by holding the fire button, then shoot Aetherella. After doing this, she will begin to float and follow you.
Step #2: Place Aetherella into the Beam of the Particle Accelerator
With Aetherella in tow, head to T2 Sublevel 10. Jump into the beam of the particle accelerator, just as you would in the main Easter Egg quest. This action will send Aetherella into the beam, completing the second phase of the Easter Egg.
Step #3: Enter the Beam of the Particle Accelerator & Strike Aetherella
To finish the Easter Egg, jump into the beam of the particle accelerator again to transform into an orb. From this point, navigate past other objects in the beam’s path and collide with Aetherella to send her out of the beam.
After completing this step, Aetherella will follow you once more, but this time, she will shoot laser beams in the direction you’re facing, akin to the Aetherella trap featured in Liberty Falls. These beams inflict damage upon zombies and various adversaries, making her an interesting companion to use against different enemy types.
