Xin Zhao Is Set to Receive His Much-Anticipated LoL Revamp Alongside Vaulted Legacy Skins

League of Legends is revamping its veteran champion, Xin Zhao, with a comprehensive visual update aimed at revitalizing his presence in the game while maintaining the integrity of his gameplay.

Having served on Summoner’s Rift for 15 years, the original model of the Seneschal of Demacia has fallen behind modern standards. Responding to player feedback, the developers are enhancing his in-game appearance, animations, and older skins that no longer meet current visual expectations.

Although Xin Zhao wasn’t featured in recent community polls regarding visual updates, there has been a recognized need for his character to receive a makeover. Both his updated base skin and rare vaulted skins will be available during patches 25.17 and 25.18, providing players an opportunity to acquire these cosmetics. Additionally, an Epic rarity skin showcasing the new visuals will be released at the conclusion of Act One.

The developers have also improved several of his older skins, including Commando and Imperial Xin Zhao, with their prices set to rise from 520 to 750 RP. These skins will remain at their current prices until Patch 25.17, thus offering players a last chance to buy them before the price adjustment takes effect.

Xin Zhao and Yunara have been integral to the storyline in Ionia, and with season three, characters like LeBlanc and Atakhan will also be introduced, enriching the lore further. The timing of Xin’s redesign may also correlate with Riot’s upcoming animated series if it ventures into the realms of Demacia and Ionia.

Last year, Skarner underwent a visual and gameplay overhaul that transformed him from a neglected character into a fully developed champion with modern visuals and abilities. Xin Zhao’s revamp will debut with Patch 25.17 in season three, along with the reintroduction of legacy skins for fans to enjoy.
