Twitch Introduces New Feature Allowing VALORANT Players to Live Predict VCT Moments and Gain Recognition

To enhance interactivity for viewers, Riot Games has launched Shotcall, a new feature for the VALORANT esports community, designed for fans eager to demonstrate their knowledge of the VCT and showcase their prediction skills.

If you have ever amazed your friends by accurately predicting clutch plays, MVPs, or match results in advance–or if you have been an avid supporter of the enduring VCT scene–Shotcall offers a platform for you to display your intuition. This feature allows you to forecast the actions of your preferred VALORANT teams and gather points on a dynamic leaderboard.

Consider Shotcall as an exciting mini-game that runs parallel to the VCT matches you are viewing on Twitch. However, don’t anticipate mundane yes/no questions or straightforward selections: Shotcall is designed for real-time excitement. It challenges you with carefully timed scenarios, from predicting who will score first blood to foreseeing clutch victories under extreme pressure, rewarding those viewers with the keenest predictive skills.

As Shotcall is still in its development phase, users should expect a few glitches during the upcoming beta tests. Initially, Riot plans to launch it on the official VCT Americas Twitch channels, with intentions to extend support to additional leagues and languages in the future.

For the time being, Shotcall will only be accessible on Fridays during these beta sessions. Riot appears to be using this limited release to collect feedback before expanding its availability to VCT matches throughout the week, starting with the Americas and eventually encompassing other regions.

To use Shotcall once the beta is live, simply tune into any of the three official VCT Americas Twitch channels on a beta day. Look for the red crystal ball icon in the upper left corner of the stream to activate the overlay, and log in with your Riot account. Keep in mind that Shotcall is currently a desktop-only feature that can only be accessed via Twitch.

Regarding rewards, Riot has indicated there will be at least one prize for participants during the four beta testing days, along with hints of more enticing rewards to come. Therefore, if you have a strong grasp of the VCT, it could be advantageous to get involved early and begin showing off your talent.
