Tips for Quickly Gaining XP and Leveling Up in Battlefield 6

Progressing in Battlefield 6 can be a lengthy process, as leveling each weapon demands significant time investment. While engaging in regular gameplay will gradually boost your weapon Mastery and Rank, there are strategies you can implement to enhance your XP accumulation and unlock equipment at a faster pace.

Here’s a comprehensive guide to kickstarting your XP grind and leveling up efficiently in Battlefield 6.

Optimal Methods to Earn XP in Battlefield 6

Leverage Your Class Strengths

Each class in Battlefield 6 features distinct abilities and gadgets that allow players to gain additional XP. Focusing on their unique strengths and maximizing utility is essential. As you unlock more gadgets, new ways to accumulate XP will open up during matches.

Here’s what you should prioritize for each class to boost your XP:

  • Assault: This class excels at objectives, including arming and disarming M-COM explosives in Rush mode. With a shorter cooldown for in-combat respawns, you can help teammates return to battle more quickly while inflicting chip damage with grenades and gadgets like the M320A1 HE.
  • Engineer: Engineers can deal damage to enemy vehicles using rockets and repair friendly ones with the Repair Tool. They also have access to AV Mines and Supply Crates for additional passive XP gains.
  • Support: This class is a reliable source for XP, not only from quickly reviving teammates with Defibrillators but also by providing ammo and health through the Supply Bag and Supply Pouch.
  • Recon: Recon classes already have innate abilities to spot enemies, but using a Recon Drone can enhance this effect. The drone marks enemies within a wide range and can even disable enemy gadgets.

Engaging in dedicated roles yields more rewards than solely seeking kills, but remember that securing kills is still necessary to enhance your weapon Mastery levels.

Complete In-Game Challenges

In Battlefield 6, progressing is not just about increasing Rank and Mastery levels–it also involves completing various challenges. Challenges unlock new gear, cosmetics, and provide substantial XP rewards.

There are several types of challenges available: daily, weekly, permanent assignments, and campaign challenges. It’s beneficial to focus on at least one challenge during each match for maximizing your session’s XP rewards.

Utilize XP Tokens and Boosters to the Fullest

Completing challenges grants you XP boosters, which temporarily enhance the amount of XP you can earn. There are two categories of boosters: Career and Hardware. Career boosters increase your overall Rank XP gains, while Hardware boosters specifically enhance weapon and vehicle Mastery XP gains.

You can acquire boosters through various means beyond just completing challenges. However, ensure to apply them in the XP Boost menu on the mode selection screen for optimal results during your gaming session.

Participate in XP Farm Lobbies in Battlefield Portal

The Portal feature enables you to join or create custom games with bots for swift XP accumulation. This is especially advantageous for completing tedious challenges that might be difficult in standard multiplayer settings.

Look for server names that include «XP,» «farm,» or «bots» as these are usually tailored for rapid matches against AI. Prior to joining, check the server’s XP awards to ensure it’s aligned with your goals and avoid those that only focus on completing matches.

If you’re able to, hosting your own server is ideal, as public servers often lead to too much player interaction, making farming challenging.

Here’s how to create your own server in the Portal:

  1. Navigate to the Community tab in the main menu.
  2. Select Search Experiences.
  3. In the Experience Code, enter codes like XFCP (for general XP) or XGEK (for vehicle farming).
  4. Choose the experience and select Host.
  5. In the setup, add a password to prevent others from joining, making sure it’s not a permanent server.
  6. Launch the server.

It’s also possible to browse available servers for a specific code once you’ve searched for the Experience.

However, be aware that EA appears determined to limit XP gains from using the Portal; you may not receive weapon XP from these modes, and expect further reductions in XP farming options in the Portal. Meanwhile, look forward to improvements and enhanced XP gains in traditional multiplayer.

Engage in Close-Quarters Battle (CQB) Modes

Smaller 8v8 game types like Domination and King of the Hill provide a concentrated infantry experience without the complications of vehicles. These are ideal for leveling up weapons, as they frequently place you in the midst of action.

Modes such as Breakthrough can also be advantageous due to the high number of players competing over a relatively confined area, creating great opportunities for revives, assists, suppression, and multi-kill rewards. Breakthrough may be the better choice if your weapon requires leveling that isn’t suited for close-quarters combat.
