Ways To Obtain Brittle Plating (Brittle Marble Shard) In Grounded 2

Brittle Plating is a crafting material used to enhance your gear in Grounded 2. Before you can start collecting resources to create Brittle Plating, there are several steps to follow.

How to Acquire Brittle Plating in Grounded 2

Brittle Plating is crafted at a Workbench using specific materials in Grounded 2. One straightforward approach is to combine Sap with Grub Hide to generate the plating. Alternatively, you can collect Brittle Marble Shards and utilize them to craft the Brittle Plating.

Acquiring Brittle Plating is crucial as it is needed for upgrading armor and other gear at the Smithing Station. Initially, players will face manageable enemies, but as exploration progresses deeper into the park, challenges will intensify. Thus, improving your weapons and armor is vital for prolonged survival.

How to Obtain Brittle Marble Shard in Grounded 2

Brittle Marble Shards are obtained by breaking Brittle Marble rocks in Grounded 2. These rocks are distinct, featuring a smooth and somewhat shiny appearance.

Typically, they are found underground in caves inhabited by numerous Red Soldier Ants, Spiders, and sometimes Cockroaches, as well as scattered across the surface. For starters, an excellent early-game site is just to the west of the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar, where an underground cave leads to the outpost’s closed-off area. Here, players can acquire Brittle Marble Shards. Additionally, players can find some Marbles in the cave accessed during the Egg Hunt quest when searching for a Red Ant Soldier to incubate.

Fortunately, obtaining Brittle Marbles requires just one upgrade for the Omni Tool. To craft the Tier I Omni Hammer, players need to gather two Pebblets, a single piece of Sap, and 350 Raw Science. Pebblets can be easily found throughout the park, and Sap is the round, sticky substance clinging to tree roots and branches. If anyone is having difficulty collecting Sap, consider breaking an Acorn post-upgrade to craft a Sap Catcher.

Furthermore, Raw Science can be gathered in various ways, essential for upgrades and unlocking new recipes at the Ranger Station. Once the necessary items are collected and the hammer is upgraded, players will be able to break both Brittle Marble rocks and some Brittle Quartzite.
