Every attachment and calibration setting you should know for the SG552.
Once you’ve experimented with the initial assault rifles in the game, more potent choices become available as you progress. The SG552 is unlocked at level 16 and can become your primary weapon if you set it up correctly.
Below are the optimal attachments and calibration settings for the SG552 in the game.
Optimal SG552 Configuration in the Game
The SG552 serves as an assault rifle accessible to Assault and Recon Operators. It features a base range of 40m, significantly exceeding that of average assault rifles, though it does come with noticeable recoil.
This build aims to minimize horizontal recoil, transforming the SG552 into a highly accurate weapon for medium-range engagements while ensuring good handling and stability. Controlling the vertical recoil is more manageable, and for long-range encounters, rifles like the M4A1 are alternatives.
Here are the recommended attachments for the SG552:
| Slot | Attachment | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Optic | Panoramic Red Dot Sight (personal choice) | N/A |
| Upper Patch | Ranger Handguard | +1 Control |
| Right Patch | Ranger Handguard | +1 Control |
| Upper Rail | Ranger Handguard | +1 Control |
| Left Patch | Ranger Handguard | +1 Control |
| Barrel | SG552 Knight Heavy Barrel | +2 Range +5 Control |
| Right Rail | PEQ-2 Red Laser-Light Combo | Enhances Handling and Accuracy when active -4 Handling |
| Left Rail | Ranger Handguard | +1 Control |
| Muzzle | Sandstorm Vertical Compensator | Boosts Vertical Control and Stability +9 Control -2 Handling |
| Foregrip | Secret Order Bevel Foregrip | Enhances Horizontal Control and Stability +7 Control -1 Handling |
| Mag Mount | Badger Small Mag Assist | +1 Handling |
| Mag | SG552 45-Round Extended Mag | Holds 45 rounds -1 Control -5 Handling -2 Stability -8 Accuracy |
| Rear Grip | AR Heavy Tower Grip | +1 Control +1 Handling +1 Stability +4 Accuracy |
| Grip Mount | Balanced Grip Base | +1 Control +1 Handling +1 Stability +4 Accuracy |
| Stock | 416 Stable Stock | +4 Control -6 Handling +8 Stability |
The standard barrel on the SG552 offers minimal customization options aside from the laser/flashlight. Therefore, it’s crucial to unlock the SG552 Knight Heavy Barrel, as it is the sole barrel option and provides significant enhancements along with room for six Handguard attachments. Utilizing five Ranger Handguards increases control, while the PEQ-2 Red Laser-Light Combo enhances aiming speed.
The Secret Order Bevel Foregrip significantly mitigates horizontal recoil, eliminating lateral sway that can affect accuracy. The Sandstorm Vertical Compensator is the premier choice for minimizing vertical recoil.
For grip setup, the AR Heavy Tower Grip offers an additional grip mount slot for the Balanced Grip Base, improving overall stats and providing more control than the Invasion Rear Grip. The 416 Stable Stock also contributes moderate improvements to stability and control.
It’s important to note that the SG552’s base magazine holds only 20 rounds, which may not suffice for most encounters. Thus, opting for the SG552 45-Round Extended Mag is recommended, even with its drawbacks in handling, especially since this build is designed for aggressive play. The 30-round magazine is an alternative if you prefer that capacity.

Optimal SG552 Calibration Settings
Calibration can provide the weapon with increased control without sacrificing other essential stats. However, it greatly impacts Aiming Stability While Breathing, so if you don’t frequently hold your breath, you might want to adjust the calibration settings accordingly.
Here are the ideal SG552 calibration settings:
| Slot | Setting | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Barrel | Weight Limit: +50g Length: +10mm |
+9% Muzzle Velocity +4% Firing Stability -3% ADS Speed -4% ADS Movement Speed |
| Foregrip | N/A | +4% Extra Control +16% Stability When Moving -4% ADS Movement Speed -4% ADS Speed |
| Rear Grip | Weight Limit: +50g Thickness: +20mm |
+4% Hip-Fire Aim Speed +6% Extra Control -16% Stability When Moving -18% Aiming Stability While Breathing |
| Stock | Weight Limit: +30g Placement: -4 Slot |
+4.40% ADS Speed +6% Extra Control -3.52% Firing Stability -18% Aiming Stability While Breathing |
| Optic | N/A | N/A |
The calibration boosts Extra Control by 16 percent while decreasing Aiming Stability While Breathing by 36 percent. To mitigate these effects, consider lowering the weight limits on the rear grip and stock. Optic selections are subjective and may differ based on personal preferences.
