Vivo Keyd Stars and EstrelaBet Collaborate for Blood Donation Initiative

The Brazilian esports team Vivo Keyd Stars and the online gaming platform EstrelaBet have teamed up to introduce a new initiative called «Bet on Life – Be a Hero». This campaign seeks to engage the gaming community in promoting blood donation across Brazil.

Launching on Monday, July 14, at the Pró-Sangue Foundation, Posto Clínicas in São Paulo, this event will feature players from Vivo Keyd. Beginning at 10 am, members from various esports squads will be on-site to set an example and motivate their fans to contribute to this worthy cause.

Vivo Keyd and EstrelaBet initiate blood donation drive amid supply concerns

This campaign is particularly timely given the ongoing issues Brazil faces in ensuring an adequate blood supply. According to the Ministry of Health, a mere 1.6% of the Brazilian population donated blood in 2024. While over 3.3 million blood bags were collected that year–a modest increase from 2023–the demand continues to outpace supply.

Both EstrelaBet and Vivo Keyd Stars view this initiative as more than just a one-off event; it serves as a demonstration of the esports and gaming community’s ability to promote social responsibility.

Victor Blecker, who is in charge of branding at EstrelaBet, highlighted the engagement of the gaming and esports betting communities. «The gaming audience is notably proactive, and we, alongside Vivo Keyd Stars, trust in the strength of this involvement to generate genuine impact,» Blecker stated.

Hugo Tristão, CEO of Vivo Keyd Stars, echoed this sentiment and drew connections between teamwork in esports and real-life solidarity. «Giving blood is akin to supporting your team. In games, we can heal or provide critical support. In this scenario, the team is society at large when it’s most in need,» Tristão said.

Vivo Keyd Stars has teams competing in League of Legends and CS2, and has previously fielded squads in Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and other esports titles.
