As the leader of a burgeoning cult, players can guide their followers with either benevolence or tyranny, shaping the dynamics within the group. The decisions made by the players profoundly impact their followers’ lives–whether they choose to exploit them for personal gain or genuinely nurture their wellbeing. Regardless of the path chosen, the Lamb must ensure the survival of their followers, as the cult’s strength hinges on their presence.
The newly released Woolhaven DLC expands this intriguing cult experience by introducing two distinct types of followers: Snowlambs and Rotten followers. The Rotten followers have an unusual advantage in that they succumb to death more rapidly than regular followers, yet they are devoid of typical mortal needs–they cannot starve, freeze, dissent, or fall ill. Once they reach the end of their lifecycle, the Lamb can harvest them for Rotburn instead of the usual Followers’ Meat.
Snowlambs, on the other hand, are a unique addition that players can create by using snow piles found around the Cult HQ during winter. However, these frosty followers have their limits; they only thrive in the cold months and vanish when summer arrives. To successfully animate a Snowlamb, players must first unlock the relevant ability and locate a snow pile. It’s important to note that more snow piles will become available as the day progresses, so patience is advisable.
Creating a Snowlamb involves a mini-game where players must skillfully align three parts to achieve the desired form. Aiming for about 90% accuracy will yield a Perfect Snowlamb, but don’t feel discouraged if you often land on a Decent Snowlamb–practice makes perfect when it comes to this engaging challenge. Interestingly, even achieving 100% accuracy results in a Perfect Snowlamb, which does not confer additional benefits in gameplay.
As players delve deeper into the Woolhaven DLC, they will uncover a Doctrine that enables the Lamb to bring these Snowlambs to life as dedicated level 10 followers who assist in various tasks around the cult’s base and unlock the Disciple ritual. However, their presence is fleeting; players must make the most of the Snowlambs before the warmth of summer renders them non-existent.
It’s also worth mentioning that followers with the «Hate Snowlambs» trait may pose a threat to animated Snowlambs, adding another layer of strategic depth to managing the cult.
