Improving your character’s potential in Wuthering Waves can be quite challenging, especially with the specific stats that need enhancing. Kuro Games has simplified this process a bit by allowing the modification of main stats on Echoes using Modifiers.

Here’s a brief guide on how to acquire and apply Modifiers in Wuthering Waves.

How to Acquire a Modifier in Wuthering Waves

Obtaining Modifiers is somewhat limited, as most sources require you to either pull from banners or participate in the Pioneer Podcast. Once you obtain some Modifiers, make sure to choose the Echoes wisely when applying them.

There are three methods to gain Modifiers in Wuthering Waves:

• Purchase them using Afterglow Corals or Oscillated Corals.
• Receive them through events.
• Obtain them from the Pioneer Podcast (battle pass).

If you’re playing for free, aim to collect Modifiers from the complimentary tiers of the Pioneer Podcast and as rewards from various events. Additionally, three Modifiers were distributed to all players via mail when version 2.3 launched.

How to Apply a Modifier in Wuthering Waves

To apply a Modifier, access the Data Bank menu and navigate to the Data Modify tab at the bottom. From there, choose any five-star Echo in your inventory, select the main stat you wish to modify (such as Crit. Rate or Crit. DMG), and use one Modifier to effect the change.

Note that you can only alter the main stat of a five-star Echo that hasn’t been boosted (level zero). Consequently, you won’t be able to view the Echo’s substats before deciding to modify the main stat. It’s recommended to use Modifiers on three and one-cost Echoes while farming Tacet Fields to conserve Waveplates.
