To sustain your health, it is crucial to explore luggage and other loot spots to discover helpful items, ensuring you all collaborate effectively to reach your goal.

Understanding the Faerie Lantern in PEAK

The Faerie Lantern in PEAK provides gradual healing from brute force, poison, burns, frostbite, and lethargy within a limited radius around any scout. Although it can only be used a certain number of times before breaking, it can be recharged by simply not using it for a while. This item is a great asset for maintaining the health of your team throughout the climb.

While a normal lantern aids mainly by illuminating dark areas and curing frost effects in cold environments, the Faerie Lantern offers a comprehensive solution. Keep it in your inventory to help heal your teammates. Personally, I found great success with the Faerie Lantern, particularly in the Caldera biome, where navigating around lava is crucial; it allows you to heal from burns quickly to avoid fatal damage.

Be cautious, though, as carrying items through lava can cause them to burn. I learned this the hard way! When you use the Faerie Lantern while exposed to flames, it transitions through various states–from cooked to well-done and finally to burnt–changing its appearance in the process. It remains effective for healing as long as it hasn’t turned to ash, but once it does, it breaks and cannot be used again until you find another one.

You can find the Faerie Lantern in PEAK by interacting with the Ancient statues located near campfires at the top of each biome. Breaking these statues will allow you to claim the Faerie Lantern for your inventory. They can also occasionally be discovered within Ancient Luggage, although the likelihood of finding one there is rather low.
