Actual Locations Inspired by All VALORANT Maps

VALORANT unfolds in a futuristic rendition of Earth–more specifically, two distinct versions–where urban areas and notable landmarks serve as arenas for combat. The discovery of a valuable resource called Radianite has turned these locales into battlegrounds.

Each map in VALORANT is inspired by an actual location; some are nestled in bustling cities, while others are situated in isolated areas. Each map conveniently displays geographic coordinates on the loading screen, allowing players to identify their locations accurately.

Below are the real-world origins of the main maps in VALORANT.

Currently, VALORANT consists of 12 standard maps, along with a training ground and five additional team deathmatch maps. Each map has a unique theme, complete with varying sightlines, gameplay mechanics, and sites to create a diverse experience.

However, not all of these maps are derived from real places. To simplify things, below is a table that lists every standard map in VALORANT, along with their real-life inspirations in alphabetical order:

All Team Deathmatch Maps in VALORANT

Additionally, there are five team deathmatch maps in VALORANT, though these do not correspond to real-world places. According to the game’s lore, they were created by robots designed by Killjoy and Raze as dedicated practice arenas for agents. These computer-generated maps lack specific coordinates.

All of these maps amalgamate elements from the game’s standard maps. For instance, Piazza mirrors Ascent’s classic Italian building styles.

The five team deathmatch maps are:

  • District
  • Drift
  • Glitch
  • Kasbah
  • Piazza
