This Essex configuration draws inspiration from Call of Duty content creator Nixstah, who recently showcased a clip demonstrating the weapon’s effectiveness when used effectively.
However, caution is advised; this setup is highly risky but can yield high rewards. It requires you to land a precise headshot at close to medium range (approximately under 25 meters) to instantly take down an enemy with full armor. If you miss that initial shot, you’re quite vulnerable, especially against aggressive SMG or AR users. While downing an opponent in two to three shots is feasible, this only works if your positioning is solid.
The Essex’s one-shot capability hinges on the CHF Barrel, which greatly enhances damage to the neck and head. When combined with Overpressured rounds, this marksman rifle remains lethal even at a moderate range.
I made some adjustments to Nixstah’s base setup. Instead of the Ported Compensator, I opted for the Muzzle Brake, which aids in first-shot recoil management and accelerates kick recovery, making it easier for quick follow-up shots if the initial headshot is missed. I also replaced the Commando Lever with the Quickdraw Lever to significantly improve ADS speed, which is crucial for quickly targeting enemies.
If you’re utilizing an eight-attachment Gunfighter setup, consider incorporating the Weighted Handguard (underbarrel), Extended Mag I, and the Strelok Laser for better stability, more ammunition, and improved hipfire accuracy during ADS transitions for rapid engagements.

For the perks, I still suggest Survivor for the first slot, as it accelerates health regeneration and reduces the time needed for reviving after being downed, which can be advantageous during intense battles. For the second slot, choose Sprinter, which provides unlimited tactical sprint, enabling quicker map traversal and repositioning.
Resolute is a great choice for the last perk, granting a burst of speed when taking damage, which could help in chaotic situations. If you prefer a more cautious approach, consider Tempered, allowing you to fully arm yourself with just two plates instead of three.
