The highly anticipated MMORPG, Crystal of Atlan, is set to launch soon. Players will have the option to download the game’s data one day before its official release, ensuring they can dive into the gameplay immediately upon global launch. While downloading the game should be straightforward on PlayStation 5 and mobile devices, PC users may encounter some challenges, particularly through the Epic Games Store.
Although the developers have confirmed that pre-loading data is available across all platforms, there appears to be an issue for PC players trying to access it via the Epic Games Store. Fortunately, there is an alternative method for PC users to pre-load the game through a dedicated launcher provided by the publisher, Nuverse.
How to Download / Pre-Load Crystal of Atlan on PC
To start, visit the official Crystal of Atlan website and allow the page to load completely. Next, click on the PC icon located at the bottom of the screen. This action will prompt the download of an EXE file for the Nuverse launcher. After the download, install the file.
Upon installation, the launcher will open automatically without requiring a login. Simply define the installation directory and begin downloading the game data. The login functionality seems to be embedded within the game itself, which is why it does not appear on the launcher.
Crystal of Atlan Release Date & Time
According to announcements via the official game account on X, the servers for Crystal of Atlan will go live on May 27 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET for North American players and on May 28 at 4 AM BST / 5 AM CEST for those in Europe. All platforms will access the game simultaneously. While the title has yet to be launched, fans still have the opportunity to pre-register for a chance to win both in-game rewards and real-life prizes.
It is important to note that the game will feature crossplay compatibility between PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. While it remains unclear if this will be an optional feature, it is likely that mobile users will have an option to disable crossplay, as PvP encounters with PC users could present a balance challenge.
Upon launch, Crystal of Atlan will introduce 11 character classes. Notably, the game will not implement a gacha system, allowing all characters to be freely accessible; players will, however, need to invest time to unlock skills associated with each character.
In terms of gameplay modes, players can participate in both 1v1 and 3v3 PvP battles when the game launches. Additionally, PvE content will be available, enabling players to team up with friends for cooperative missions and explore dungeons, including guild missions called Fleet Challenges.
